A reliable tile substrate is essential in areas exposed to regular moisture. Grenrite Tile Backer Board is engineered as a waterproof, rigid and lightweight alternative to conventional tile substrates, combining an XPS core with reinforced cementitious facings in a single composite board.
The closed-cell XPS core provides resistance to water absorption and contributes to thermal insulation, while the reinforced cementitious surface provides a suitable base for tile and stone installation when used with compatible tile adhesives and installation systems.
The board can be cut and processed with common construction tools, helping installers achieve accurate fitting around walls, corners, pipes and other details. Its lightweight construction also simplifies handling and transportation compared with heavier cement-based boards.
